• Welcome to the Police Review Commission (PRC-UAT) Learning Portal

Your Gateway to Learning and Development

The Police Review Commission (PRC) is a civilian-led, arm’s-length agency launching on December 1, 2025, in response to Albertans’ calls for greater accountability and transparency in policing. This portal is your central hub for learning, development, and understanding the PRC’s evolving role in Alberta’s public safety landscape.

    What we do:

    The PRC will:

    • Investigate serious incidents, criminal allegations, and public complaints involving police services in Alberta.
    • Incorporate the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT), expanding its mandate to include serious allegations involving peace officers, ensuring consistent oversight across the province.
    • Investigate code of conduct offences under the Police Service Regulation involving officers from municipal and First Nations police services.
    • Conduct disciplinary hearings for code of conduct offences, presided over by neutral third-party adjudicators.
